LA City Workers Endorse Jose Huizar for Council District 14.

After much thought and deliberation the experience and dedication Jose Huizar brings to CD 14 is the reason we have Selected to officially endorse him in the race for Council District 14 Jose is very well educated with numerous accomplishments in his district, where his challenger lacks the same experience and education.

Challenger Rudy Martinez resume lists him running his real estate business & hosting a reality cable tv show. His downside had him fouund in possession of an LAPD badge copy, the Badge number belonged to a Police Officer David Kubly who was killed in the line of duty.*

Rudy decided to continue to use his time as an explorer with the Los Angeles Police Department in campaign literature, even though he had to resign.

Alejandro Stephens Service Employees International Union Local 660 President  to plead guilty to 3 federal charges.

What Happens when Alejandro Stephens former Service Employees International Union Local 660 President, Your PAC money, and Non Profits combine?

You get Federal Charges brought against you when you allegedly defraud a non-profit group called the Voter Improvement Program.

Alejandro Stephens is accused of getting paid from 4 associates who set up bogus consulting companies and got contracts from VIP for work that was never done.
Stephens later got most of the money for those contracts back from his associates in the kickback scheme.

More then $50,000.00 In work never done, and never reported as income to the IRS. Congratulations Alejandro Stephens, Your looking at a Possible 43 Years in Federal Prison which should be fun considering he is 65.

Mail fraud carries a maximum penalty of 20 years, He bought two of those charges, and  he rounds them out with a Filing a false tax return charge.

Federal authorities are still investigating whether our own Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar and former Board of Education member David Tokofsky received any of the ‘consulting payments’ from the Voter Improvement Program, or if any other current SEIU Staff are involved.

Stephens lost his union presidency in 2007 when SEIU Local 660, merged with 347 to become Local 721. He was another famous ‘Lost Timer’ who ended up getting fired by the county when he never returned to work.

Investigators of the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Labor Racketeering and Fraud Investigations; the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and IRS Criminal Investigations, The Department of Labor’s Office of Labor Management Standards all worked on this case and it may have uncovered questions into SEIU practices in regards to the ERIP.

It is amazing, not that our union was engaged in this behaviour we expect that, but more that people actually still use regular mail, and that people would be dumb enough to lie on there taxes.
